Interdisciplinary skills

A core responsibility of schools and teaching is to develop sustainable skills. Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary skills definitely complement and enhance pupils’ specialist skills and therefore contribute to a comprehensive concept of competence.

Teaching principles and educational concerns are presented here with their aspirations, illustrative examples of lessons and references to curricula.

This page is the result of a process of work and discussion at the Education Ministry, with academic support initially from Prof. Ferdinand Eder and, as of 2011, from Prof. Hubert Weiglhofer, both from the University of Salzburg.
