Austrian Student Ombudsman
The Austrian Student Ombudsman at the BMBWF is an ombudsman, information and advice service for issues at higher education institutions relating to studying, teaching, exams, services and administration. It is available free of charge to all Austrian and international students, prospective students, applicants and staff at public and private universities, universities of applied sciences and university colleges of teacher education.
The School Ombudsman at the BMBWF is an effective support, advice and information service for citizens, especially school pupils and their parents/guardians who are affected by alleged misconduct in schools or school administration.

Ombudsman for Values and Cultural Conflicts
The Ombudsman for Values and Cultural Conflicts provides teachers, school leadership teams, parents and school pupils with advice and support in the event of misconduct at individual schools and in the case of official failings. As part of its work, the Ombudsman also conducts a review of the overall situation in all types of schools across Austria and provides conflict resolution services in schools. In addition, anyone with concerns can attend the Ombudsman’s consultation surgeries to discuss them anonymously and free of charge.
